The largest circus festival ever held.
A 5000-seats big top on Moscow's Red Square for a competition of 200 artists from 5 continents for 10 days.
Opening ceremony consisting of 13 open-air circus rings with movie-style set constructions,500 performers and animals.
Funded with 2 million dollar from Russian State.
Curiosities  from The New York Times about  political controversies raised at the time by the project.
